In 2021, Holy Trinity Catholic Church introduced a "Trinitarian Award" commemorative clock to be awarded every year to a parishioner who has made exceptional contributions to the spiritual and operational life of our parish.
In 2021, the inaugural recipient of Holy Trinity's Trinitarian Award was Lawrence W. Pettiette Jr., a long-time parishioner and principal of the Law Firm of Pettiette, Armand, Dunkelman, Woodley, Byrd, and Cromwell in Shreveport. Larry was born in Minneapolis in 1953. After living for a time in East Texas he moved to Shreveport in 1959. He graduated summa cum laude from Northeast University with degrees in Government and Spanish in 1975, and from Emory University School of Law in 1978. Larry clerked for U.S. Federal Judge Tom Stagg, and afterward entered private practice focusing primarily on civil litigation. He is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, a founding member of the Harry V. Booth-Henry A. Politz Inn of Court, Shreveport Bar Association, and a member of the Georgia and Louisiana Bar. As parishioners of Holy Trinity, Larry and his family have demonstrated love of God and neighbor by their lives or prayer and service. Larry has offered legal counsel to many priests throughout the history of our parish. In 2021 he helped successfully renegotiate our parking lot contracts and our acquisition of the former Greyhound Bus Station. Larry was awaded the Trinitarian Award during our Anniversary Mass celebrated by Bishop Francis Malone on September 26, 2021.
