Stewardship is defined as a generous response to God for all of the blessings we have received. All believers are asked to return a portion of their blessings to the service of the Kingdom, the service of the Church, through sharing their time, talent and treasure.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church invites and asks every member of our faith community to generously pledge to support the mission and life of the parish through donations, as well as through commitments to parish ministries, organizations, programs and activities.
“The promotion of the practice of stewardship is important for the mission of the Church and for the spiritual well-being of each individual Christian. Everyone benefits from the sacrificial gift one makes of his time, talent and treasure.” (His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI)
“Central to our human and Christian vocations, as well as to the unique vocation each one of us receives from God, is that we be good stewards of the gifts we possess. God gives us this divine-human workshop, this world and Church of ours. The Spirit shows us the way. Stewardship is part of that journey.” (“Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response,” U.S. Conference of Bishops, 1993)
“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)
"Scripturally, the believer is asked to tithe, to give ten percent (10%) to God. We see this ten percent broken down in this way: 5% of your time and talent and 5% of your treasure." (Sacrificial Offering)
Only with the sacrificial offering of all of our members can we ensure that Holy Trinity Catholic Church remains a vibrant, active faith community. With your commitment you can ensure that we are able to meet our financial obligations to maintain our ministries, programs and facilities, pay a just wage to our parish staff, support the needs of the larger Church, and assist our brothers and sisters in need. With a generous commitment from all of our members we are able to meet the challenges and demands of an ever-growing, ever-changing Church and world.
Stewardship is a complete lifestyle, a life of total accountability and responsibility, acknowledging God as Creator and Owner of all.
Stewards, as disciples of Jesus Christ, see themselves as caretakers of all of God’s gifts. Gratitude for these gifts is expressed in prayer, worship, offering and action by eagerly sharing these gifts out of love of God and one another.
Stewardship is a way of life, a way of thanking God for all His blessings by returning a portion of the time, talent and treasure allotted to us.
Stewardship is caring. Stewardship is responsible management of our God-given resources of time, talent and treasure. It enhances our relationship with God and one another.
