On June 26, 2021, Holy Trinity held a special anniversary Mass, celebrated by the bishop of the Diocese of Shreveport, The Most Rev. Francis Malone, to commemorate 165th Anniversary of our parish, the 125th Jubilee of our church, and the 122nd Anniversary of our church’s dedication. On that day, Bishop Malone officially named Rev. Duane C. Trombetta as Pastor or our parish.
During Mass and in the presence of Bishop Malone, Fr. Duane announced the parish's real estate acquisition of the former Greyhound bus station located at 408 Fannin Street directly across from the church parking lot. The building contains 12,600 square feet and once held a terminal, ticket office, restaurant, freight operation, and administrative offices. The building was constructed in 1947 was left vacant after Greyhound relocated to the SPORTRAN Intermodal Terminal in November 2017.

This real estate acquisition represents an outstanding strategic opportunity for Holy Trinity's downtown parish. Within the densely developed downtown Shreveport, opportunities for contiguous property expansion are not common. The parish's first goal was to make the acquisition while it remained a possibility. Next, a plan will be established, working with the Diocese of Shreveport and newly assembled committees, to study potential uses for the property, keeping in mind the building’s unique mid-century architecture and its historic significance to our city.
