“The king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me...’ Truly I tell you, just as you did it to the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me’” (MT 25:34-40).
Ministry of Care to the sick is a pastoral ministry of caring for those who are hospitalized, in nursing homes, or confined to private homes. At Holy Trinity Catholic Church, this ministry is provided by the clergy and by lay men and women volunteers. Our ministers are formed to conduct pastoral visits, making time to listen and pray about the concerns of the sick or shut-in person and to share Holy Eucharist with them. Unfortunately, during the coronavirus pandemic, ability to maintain this ministry is restricted.
This ministry is primarily directed to those within our parish geographic boundaries, but exceptions will be considered. If you or a loved one would like a visit from a Minister of Care, please contact the parish office. And if you feel called to be a part of this important and vital ministry, please contact the parish office or a member of our clergy. Again, unfortunately, during the coronavirus pandemic, ability to maintain this ministry is restricted.
