In 2022, Bishop Francis Malone introduces the Joyful Discipleship Initiative for the parishes within the Diocese of Shreveport. He urges that our response as disciples should take many forms: gathering and worshipping at Mass, teaching and learning through our Catholic schools and religious formation classes, “welcoming strangers in our midst” and serving the less fortunate. In these and other ways, we are disciples. The question is, "Is there more we can do to help our parishes and diocese thrive?".
Bishop Francis Malone asks us to reflect on our discipleship in the Lord, Jesus Christ - asking how we are to repay him and acting on what the Spirit is leading us to do. Please click the graphic above, or click (here) to link to the Joyful Discipleship, A Vision for the Diocese of Shreveport fact sheet, which provides greater details on the proposed initiative. Additionally, included on this page is a link to the online survey that Bishop Malone requests the people of all parishes complete.
Here at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, we ask all our parishioners to participate in this important endeavor.
