Effective 2021-2022, the Diocese of Shreveport is excited to announce a new educational and formation partnership with Franciscan University's Catechetical Institute. Bishop Francis Malone wishes to offer access to continuing formation to the people of our diocese, so that they can most fruitfully into a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
“The Franciscan University Catechetical Institute seeks to serve Christ and his Church by forming those Catholics entrusted with the formation of others. This includes bishops, priests, deacons, and parents, as well as lay ecclesial ministers, teachers, religious, and parish catechists. Through conferences, online workshops, personal support, and new printed catechetical resources, we make the riches of the Catholic faith more available and accessible to clergy and lay catechists alike.”
Parishioners of Holy Trinity Catholic Church may register at no cost to participate in this online non-degree program taught by Franciscan's renowned catechetics faculty and mentors.
