On the annual Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (also known as "Corpus Christi Sunday"), many Catholics celebrate with a "procession," bringing the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ through the streets and byways near the local church. We desire this to be a true sign of common faith and adoration.
On Sunday, June 6, 2021, the people of Holy Trinity Catholic Church gathered and processed around the city blocks of Fannin St., Edwards St., Travis St.., and Marshall St., ending with solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in our church. A truly wonderful sight, and a spiritual delight to illuminate the people, residences, and businesses of downtown Shreveport with the light of Christ! Click through the photos below.
