Formed in 1903 the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. They are a national organization with 63,000 dues-paying members in 1,150 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Kenya and Peru.
Holy Trinity is proud to support the CDA Court Castile 197 Circle. They support spiritual growth, sharing, and various activities under the support of their vibrant national organization. Members donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.” They embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.
During August 2021, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas "Mary Undoer of Knots" Circle collected new children's clothing items for Mary's House of Shreveport. Many items were donated by Holy Trinity's generous parishioners, including onesies, receiving blankets, sleepers, and socks size 3-6 mos. Special thanks to Andrea Rowe for coordinating this very successful event.
