An Altar Society is a group of laypersons who care for and maintain the ceremonial objects used in worship. This includes making floral arrangements for the sanctuary, laundering and ironing linens, caring for votive and ceremonial candles, polishing brass railings, and more.
Here at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, our Altar Society takes on large-scale and high-impact seasonal projects as well. These include setting up the wreath and colored candles during Advent, constructing the nativity creche at Christmas, setting out a passion display during Lent, covering the statues during Passiontide, setting out an "old rugged cross" on Good Friday, building a St. Joseph Altar in March, planting and decorating our prayer garden for Easter, and more.
Becoming a member of our Altar Society is a fulfilling way to support and minister to the church. For more information, please contact our Parish Office.
